| A lot of people ask what is the biggest difference between Fue and Strip, and my answer has to be the strip scar. Not having a gigantic scar in the back of your head after your procedure is by far the biggest advantage FUE has to offer. Below I have posted some donor area photos of what a patient looks like after a FUE procedure. In both examples each had over 4,000 grafts extracted from their donor region, both still have the ability to buzz their hair down very short without any signs that a procedure took place. FUE DONOR 
Below are examples of what the donor area looks like after a standard Strip (FUSS) procedure. Signs that a procedure took place are very visible and one must where their hair longer to cover up the scarring.

| The first photo looks pretty good. He has his head shaved real close and I don't see any marks or scarring. No way he could where is hair that short if he had strip. I have also heard that FUE is much easier to recover from the strip. The only down side I see is that FUE is more expensive, but even that really isn't the case anymore now that FUE has come down in price.

I really think that with in the next 5 or 6 years that if HT clinics want to stay in business that they will all be offering FUE. I just think the whole strip thing is barbaric now.
It's been three years since I had my HT and I still "GOT MY SWAGGER"

| I agree with MMA Guy, strip procedures seem almots barbaric. They do leave a nasty scar that will last a life time. Clearly no scar is better. Gabriel

I actually didn't go through with my initial procedure because I decided that strip was just too intrusive of a procedure.. It wasn't until Armani started offering FUE that I was convinced to go through with it. It just seemed much more minimal.
I have to say that the recovery from FUE was a breeze. There was no pain, except the numbness the first night felt a bit odd from the medicine. After two weeks the donor was completely healed and virtually undetectable.. Much easier than I thought it was going to be.

| When I first thought about a hair transplant I was thinking about getting a strip procedure done. But I changed my mind because I did not want a scar accross the back of my head because I do like to wear my hair short sometimes. A scar accross the head is a sign of a transplant incase you dont want anyone to find out. I decided to go FUE with doctor Armani at the Alvi Armani Clinic in Toronto and I am so happy with my results. The results are very natural and no one can notice I had a transplant unless I say something. The procedure was painful but just a little more time consuming because the grafts need time to be harvested individually. I will be posting some before and after photos of my resutls. This is probably the greatest advancement in Hairtransplants in the last 5-7 years. That it can now be done without the scarring in the back. This guys is buzzed pretty short and no sign that he had a procedure. Impressive.

| I'm glad I chose FUE over strip for this reason. I wear my hair pretty short on the sides and back and having to worry about keeping a huge strip scar hidden would be a nightmare. -Mark
