i was just wondering if any one that has had a procedure with dr armani and got there and dr armani's online evaluation of your hairtransplant has been off.  i would think it would be pretty hard to evaluate someone just by pictures. either you needed more or less fue's, because your expecations were different then his or becasue of density or whatever the reason.  i was just curious as to how that would work if you neeeded less did they refund you money or more did you have to pay up front for the additional. any information would be great. just want to be prepared for anything and see how many of you expirenced this.

Hi Cotton,

I actually had 4000 FUE's peformed by Dr. Armani close to two years ago. My blog will be up pretty soon. Therefore you will be able to see how my result ended up. Regarding your question I emailed Dr. Armani some of my pictures, and he used those pictures to just take a brief look at the condition of my hair loss. However, when I decided that I was getting closer to choosing Dr. Armani for a procedure, he had me come into his clinic a month or two before the date of the surgery to get an up close and personal look at my hair loss. Unlike other doctors, he elaborately explained what his feelings were regarding my hairloss and what kind of procedure I had to undergo. The best part of it was that Dr. Armani took time and answered all of my questions. In essence Cotton, I feel that Dr. Armani has been doing this for such a long time, and is a consumate professional that when he sees ones picture he can get a pretty good idea as to what kind of procedure will be needed. Regardless, he will verify his thoughts when you meet with him at his clinic.

As long as the photos are clear and show a true indication of you current hairloss then the online evaluation is very accurate. Once you come to Toronto for your procedure and you sit down with Dr. Armani for your pre op appointment, Dr. Armani will examine you at that point. Taking your hair characteristics into account and discussing general goals with you he may decide to change the estimate slightly. Usually this is maybe 100 grafts more or less, the numbers are always very close to the initial assessment if not exact.

As another poster mentioned, Dr. Armani has been doing this for a long time and is almost always spot on.

I would think Dr. Armani's are pretty accurate. As many people that travel to see Dr Armani for an operation I would think most have had online evaluations versus in person, seeing how we all can't pick up and go to Toronto constantly.

Dr. Armani is doing consultations throughout the world. Personally when he assesed my hair loss and needs online I was extremely impressed with his knowledge. He reafirmed his knowledge when I saw him prior to my surgery in Los Angeles.

I pretty much agree with everything Cotton has said here. I also used the online consultation, and then Dr. Armani just fine tuned it when I met him in person. He is a very interesting man, I really enjoyed talking to him about his Italian roots.

It's been three years since I had my HT and I still "GOT MY SWAGGER"
