| Has anyone had a hair transplant in South America? I imagine they would be real cheap down there.

LOL.. Cheap isnt the word you should associate with hair transplants.. I would rather go without it than pay some butcher a small amount of money to screw my head up..

Growingitlong, North America has the very best clinics. Forget about South America.
It's been three years since I had my HT and I still "GOT MY SWAGGER"

| I would never think about getting a cheap doctor. For a good surgeon, I have been flying from Germany to Toronto. In Eastern or Southern Europe as Poland or Turkey you can also find cheap clinics. But it is your problem then, to live the rest of your life with those results.

| Hi Growingit, I hope you're kidding about going to South America for a hair transplant...lol. I really wouldn't trust going there for a HT, believe me when I tell you that cost should not be the main factor in choosing a doctor. Keep us updated. Gabriel

I'm going to reiterate what everyone has been saying. When it comes to a procedure like this, or any other procedure that is life changing, you shouldn't put a price tag on it. If you don't have the money to get a procedure from a top surgeon, you shouldn't settle for less. Settling for less would cause you more pain in the long term. It's better to wait until you have money available because in the long run you will have far greater results and will be far happier.

| I am sure it would be cheaper down there, but I am not sure it is regulated down there. So you take the chance of getting hacked up!!

Google bad hair transplants and take a good look through those photos... if you would not be willing to settle for those kind of results, then you probably shouldn't consider going to South America for a procedure. You get what you pay for..
