What is a Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) hair transplant?

Alvi Armani is one of only a few clinics worldwide to offer this newest method of hair transplantation. FUE is a technique of extraction of follicular units.

Unlike the FUSS procedure, where a thin strip is removed to harvest the hair for transplanting, the FUE procedure allows the surgeon to harvest each follicular unit one at a time from the donor area (the back and sides of the head - these two areas are not prone to balding).

Once harvested, each hair is artistically transplanted into the balding or thinning areas of the scalp, allowing for painless and complete hair restoration.

This revolutionary hair transplant process has many advantages including completely natural results, very little bleeding, no visible scar formation and less recovery time for patients.

No blades or scalpels are ever used with the FUE procedure. Since there is no cutting of the scalp, patients still have the option of shaving their heads throughout their lifetime.

The surgeon isolates the hair he/she wants to extract.

A special tool is inserted around the hair.

The process is repeated to other selected hairs.

The hair is extracted.

The extraction process is repeated.

The hair is artistically implanted into the balding and/or thinning areas of the scalp.
