Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and Follicular Unit Strip Surgery (FUSS)are the techniques used to extract the follicular units from the donor area.

PLACEMENT OF HAIR LINE

Alvi Armani uses the basic principles of hair line design defined by the famous Italian artist and inventor Leonardo Da Vinci.

The hair line in most individuals starts at 1/2 the distance above the eyebrows, from the distance between the eyebrows and the chin.

The front hairline must be natural looking and individualized to each patient.

Single hair follicular units must be used in a soft and even distribution to create a natural hairline. Behind this natural hairline we transplant different sizes of follicular units to increase the density

Gentle blending of hair is better than creating a single wall of hair. There must also be the correct blending of the old existing hair with the new transplanted hair.

The Mature Look

There are some patients though that feel they do not want their hair line restored to match the proportions of their faces.

This is most common in mature patients.

They feel that lowering their hair line to the original hair line will take away from their mature look. A mature look for a person who has not suffered from hair loss is a look with a hair line proportional to the face. This can be seen again in the pictures of the mature personalities posted above.

Nevertheless for patients who would like a higher hair line Alvi Armani offers this option. This can be seen in the following examples.

TEMPLE ANGLES

Temple angles provide the connection from the hair line to the sides of the head producing a "frame" around the face.

Traditionally hair transplant clinics have not closed the temple angles.

This is due to the technical difficulty in angling the hair correctly as the temple hair connects with the sides of the head. Also because of the time it takes to implant this region of the head.
